Ladies, Gentlemen, Children of all ages!
These are the clients of hairdressers right? I’m just going to take a little guess and say that it’s only the ladies who get as obsessive as I do…
As a girl with long hair, I know the pain and struggle (no, that’s not an exaggeration), of trying to find a hair stylist or hairdresser that you like and trust. Lucky enough for me, one moved into my street!
I’ve been going to Queen of Hearts Hair Studio since they opened, and in all honesty I have never been disappointed. But a recent hair experience has left me feeling more in love with the place, and the girls there, than ever before. And that, in my mind, calls for a review!
This week I did something that took a lot of personal motivation… something I never thought I would do. I cut my belly-button-length hair to about-nipple-length hair. I walked in, running a little late… oops, and I sat in the comfy chair, and I told Elisha my plans…
“Are you kidding me right now?”
Yes, I know I’ve got a winner because she is equally as attached to my hair as I am!
This decision was difficult to make, I can’t deny that. It’s been a rough start to the year, I’ve had a pretty shitty run, and I’ve been stressed, and I guess that’s started to show in my hair. All I needed, was to sit in the chair, relax, and enjoy that peaceful 2 hours to myself. And that is exactly what I did. When I go to Queen of Hearts I don’t have to constantly watch what they’re doing to my head, I can close my eyes, read a magazine, and just trust…
That, dear readers, is the distinction between a good hairdresser, and a FANTASTIC hairdresser. Elisha and the girls know my family. They know what I do for work, they know what I study at Uni and they know when I graduate. They care, and most importantly they want you to leave that place feeling happy, confident, and fresh!
Not only do I love the service, I absolutely love the products that they use at Queen of Hearts too. So much so that my mum, brother and I all use Evo products at home now! Elisha got me started with a solid recommendation for my hair in its current state, suggesting The Therapist and Day of Grace.
My hair is healthy, shiny, strong, and I love it just as much as I did when it was long and luscious! Girlies, definitely get yourself an EVO leave-in conditioner, especially if your hair likes to change things up on you during winter like mine does. I’m not too selective though, any EVO will do!
The best part about Evo? The products have different proteins so that your hair always looks fabulous, they are all paraben and sulphate free, and they DO NOT test on animals! Plus the super cute, super sassy packaging is all 100% recyclable, and Evo is primarily developed in Australia!
I always used to get compliments about my hair and its length and colour, and I was always so quick to pull out a business card.
THIS IS LIKE GIVING A GIANT, WORDY BUSINESS CARD TO THE INTERNET!!!
I would recommend Queen of Hearts to anyone, anywhere, in a heartbeat. Ladies of the Northern Gold Coast area, give them a try, you won’t regret it.
Thanks for the read,
